SHOW AMBASSADORS

Kim Kendall

My name is Kim Kendell I am 59 Years old and have shown horses for over 50 years. I am from Regional NSW, Tarcutta which is near Wagga Wagga. I have a daughter who shows my pony.

I am active on the show scene but have decided 4 years ago to rehome a brumby and show him. He qualified for the led pony at this year's Canberra Royal. I choose not to enter him. I want to take him next year when he is also going under saddle.

Billy is shown in open and brumby classes and has a beautiful story to tell. He was found at what the vets thinks was a day old under his bush and was taken to a sanctuary in Berrigan they then took him to the vets as he had not received enough of the passive transfer from his mum she was deceased shot with a bow and arrow.

He is from Cooinbil's Hut in the Snowy Mountains and his Registered name is Southern Cross Cooinbil Akka Billy. I have had him from 6 months old and he is currently 4 years old. He is a silent spokesperson in photos for the brumbies and their plight to show that they can be successfully repurposed. He will be broken in his year to start his under saddle career.

The dream would be able to qualify him for Sydney Royal and have him attend a horse of the year which would be a big achievement for him. My daughter has been very successful at that level in her day. He is currently registered with 3 brumby registries, the Victorian Dilute Society (he tested as a Silver) and the Australian Saddle Pony Association.
