A little about us..............
We are Harlow Lesko and Briah Baker from Ash-Diaz Show Horses. We are two cousins who share the same passion of showing our gorgeous horses! The both of us have had great success competing at AG shows, SHC shows and EA shows around Victoria.
Harlow: I am 14 years old and have a stunning black galloway with the show name ‘Yeoway LJ’ and paddock name ‘Larry’. I have been riding since I was 7 and, in that time, I have had outstanding results whilst competing in the show ring. We got Larry in April 2022 as I was becoming too big for my pony and needed that next step. We had always had our eyes on Larry since we first saw him at a show a few years ago, so as soon as we saw Larry come up on the market, we knew it was meant to be. After purchasing Larry our story had just begun. In the time that we have had him we have had great success. We also have a small pony named ‘Koorana Fairy Tale’ or more affectionately known as ‘Pumpkin’ that we bought this year for my little sister. Our little show term has so much more ahead of us and we can’t wait for what the future holds.
Two of my most memorable wins on Larry are:
-Reserve Childs galloway at Battle of the Borders 2022
-Winning the Good hands challenge at VAS 2023
Briah: My name is Briah and I am 25 years old, I have been showing horses since I can remember. At the moment I have a beautiful off the track thoroughbred named ‘Bondi Sands’ also known as ‘Bondi’ who I got as a project in 2022. We got Bondi out to his first show in October and he was such a good boy! Over the years I have retrained many off the track thoroughbreds and I love seeing their progress and journey. I also have a small galloway ‘Sanlirra Chocolatier’ with the paddock name ‘Bacci’ and he is another project at the moment. Can’t wait to start he newcomer year.
Some of my most recent achievements are:
-1st in the senior riding competition, rider 21 years and under 30 years at Melbourne Royal
-Winning the Laura Berben memorial class at Battle of the Borders 2023
